Our Parish is part of the Diocese of Saskatchewan in the Province of Rupert’s Land. We consist of two active churches, situated a few miles apart in two small communities close to Prince Albert in Saskatchewan.
At one time in the Prairies, churches and towns were situated about 10 miles apart - the distance one could reasonably travel by horse and cart. With the advent of motor travel, many small towns and churches closed down. Within the boundaries of this parish, there are four such churches - two whose buildings remain with cemeteries and two where the buildings no longer stand. Each of these four sites has commemorative annual summer services. For the greater Parish, these annual services can also be a significant time of outreach. The geographical size of our parish is about 400 square miles.
